“Yesterday I was a dog. Today I’m a dog. Tomorrow I’ll probably still be a dog. Sigh! There’s so little hope for advancement.”
- Snoopy
{taken earlier this week during our little snowstorm. she was rather miffed at me because i was making her sit on the cold wet ground when what she really wanted to do was to go back inside our nice warm house and curl up on her dog bed, hence her refusing to look my way. click on her to see her bigger in flickr. have a great weekend everyone!}

Beautiful picture. A magical moment.
Thank you. Despite her being mad at me, she really loved playing in the snow that day and kept wanting to go out every five minutes. : )
When this picture came up on my computer screen, the thought that came into my mind was—
” Oh….Snow…again…”
What a beautiful pensive face!
Thank you. Our snow was all gone by that night, but it was fun while it lasted.
She does not look particularly pleased to be sitting outside in the cold and snow, and I do agree with Miss Pup that it is nicer and warmer inside. :-) Terrific pic Kate
Thank you, Phil. She got over being mad at me pretty quickly as soon as I began scratching her belly. : )
I don’t doubt that a bit. :-)
She is just beautiful, Kate!
Thank you, Lisa!
She looks lovely in the snow. Makes for great contrast! Enjoy your weekend!
Hope you don’t get buried in that new storm heading your way. Just remember, Spring will be here soon. It can’t be Winter forever!
LOL ! Another animal model that refuses to look at the photographer. Although this angle really makes the photo in the snow. Makes you wonder what she’s smelling and seeing.
I’d love to be able to read her thoughts. She’s probably a rocket scientist underneath all that goofiness she lets on. ; )
I just love the way you capture pictures of your dog. Since we seem to have several things in common, I have to ask, do you and your family ever “make up” what your dog is thinking/saying and speak in a funny voice as though you are her? There are regular “conversations” like that around here, lol.
That made me laugh—if you ONLY heard the conversations we make up for her! She has a very heavy Southern Belle accent, speaks in a baby voice and her thought process is one of a toddler at times. My Meghan told us a couple years ago that her math teacher (who is apparently the Dog Whisperer of Fayetteville, AR.) said that dogs have the memory span of a two year old and when they see you leave the house, they think that you’re gone forever. That’s why they are so overjoyed to see you when you return. Once she told us that, I understood Langley a lot better! She’s going on 8 now, and we’ve been making her “talk” since the day we brought her home. I really want another lab, but my husband wants to wait till Langley goes to the Great Duck Pond in the Sky. We’ll see . . . ; )
Ha! I am laughing trying to imagine Langley’s Southern Belle accent! My dogs both “speak” in a lower “uh duh” kind of voice; the cat’s voice is higher pitched, lol. Difficult to describe in words. Maybe I’ll try to record this on my iPod some time and post it to the blog!
That’s a gorgeous picture!
Thank you!
This is such a fantastic picture!
Thank you, Elizabeth!
beautiful contrast and lovin’ the sprinkling of snow on her!
Don’t know how much SHE cared for that sprinkling of snow, but thank you! ; )
